About Margaret
Dr. Haglund trained at Columbia and UCLA and is double Board Certified in Adult and Addiction psychiatry. She completed additional post-graduate training in the UCLA Mood Disorders Fellowship, gaining expertise in depression, bipolar disorder, and treatment resistant conditions.
She has expertise in psychodynamic psychotherapy, having been selected as a fellow of the American Psychoanalytic Association. Previously she has worked at Cedars Sinai Medical Center as Assistant Professor, as lead psychiatrist on a Peri-Operative Opioid and Benzodiazepine Tapering Program, and as Medical Director of a Collaborative Care Initiative designed to address the needs of primary care and OB-GYN patients. She currently serves as Voluntary Clinical Faculty at the UCLA Addiction Medicine Clinic.
Dr Haglund’s primary passion is working one-on-one with individuals to help them achieve their fullest potential. She uses a variety of psychotherapy techniques as well as medications when indicated. She aims to take a unique approach with each patient, tailoring treatment to specific needs. She also enjoys collaborating with therapists as a team.
