Dr. David Sheski is a board-certified general psychiatrist who practices in CalPsychiatry’s Echo Park and Pasadena Offices, and uses a secure and private video communication platform for Telehealth visits.

He studied both psychology and film as an undergraduate at the University of Southern California, before going on to earn his MD from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, his home state. He completed his psychiatry training at the UCLA/Olive View Residency Program, and went on to finish subspecialty training by way of a fellowship in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry/Psychosomatic Medicine, in which he is also board certified.

Dr. Sheski offers medication management with a focus in the areas of general anxiety, phobias, panic disorder, and OCD. By way of his fellowship training, he also specializes in the treatment of both women and men in the peripartum period and patients with complex medical histories, including those with hematologic and solid organ transplants, cancer, auto-immune conditions, and neurological conditions.

An artist and a writer, he has a unique and special interest in the mental health of creatives, and the way in which the creative process can help patients heal past traumas, cope with current stressors, and actualize life goals. Find out more about David here.
