About Lucy
Dr. Sloninsky is a board certified general adult psychiatrist who specializes in the treatment of a variety of psychiatric concerns in her outpatient practice. She utilizes medication management to treat disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety and has special interests in integrative/holistic care, collaborative care and women’s mental health.
Dr. Sloninsky completed her B.A. in Psychology at UC Berkeley followed by post graduate coursework in biochemistry and physiology at MCP Hahnemann University, and in anatomy and neuroanatomy at Tulane School of Medicine. She earned her medical degree at the Sackler School of Medicine in Tel Aviv, Israel.
After medical school, Dr. Sloninsky completed her psychiatry residency at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. She completed a psychiatry fellowship at UCLA Neuropsychiatric Institute with a specialty in treating Mood Disorders, and a certification in holistic medicine through the American Board of Integrative Holistic Medicine. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings including the West Los Angeles VA Medical Center, community psychiatry, and private practice in addition to prior experience as part of the UCLA faculty as a clinical instructor for UCLA medical students and psychiatry residents.
Dr. Sloninsky approaches mental health care with a focus on individualized treatment plans and collaborative care. She believes that each individual has a unique set of biological, social, and psychological factors that influence their mental health and she values the courage it takes to examine these.
Dr. Sloninsky has special interests in integrative care, collaborative care, and women’s mental health and can treat patients in both Spanish and English. She looks forward to meeting with you and joining you in the next steps of your journey.
