On January 23rd, Dr. Leigh Goodrich hosted our Psych Media Discussion Group for a clinician discussion of the documentary Stutz.
During the Psych Media Discussion Group Leigh Goodrich, M.D. of CalPsychiatry facilitated a discussion of the documentary Stutz, an interview between actor Johah Hill and his psychotherapist Phil Stutz.
Dr. Goodrich observed how the process of making the Stutz film negatively impacted the relationship between film maker/patient and his therapist. She was astonished that they were still involved in ongoing therapy during the making of the documentary. The film further conveyed there are many ways of connecting and strengthening the relationship between patient and therapist and those ways vary from person to person.
